Master You Nan Chen began to practice martial arts from the age of 6.
He attended college and became the first group of sports students of the Guangdong Sports Institute.
He won the National Martial Art Competition, competing with the 3 Section Stick form.
He graduated from the Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education, majoring in Martial Arts.
Throughout this period he was the Martial Arts Stunt Coordinator of many film including: ``Nan Quan Wang`` and ``Iron Bridge III``. While also participating in cultural performances that included travelling to Europe and Japan.
He went to Brisbane, Australia to establish the International Wushu Academy, where he has began teaching Chinese martial arts. His company has performed on many special occasions but the most memorable would be for the Queen of England when she visited Australia.
He has a long standing teaching relationship within Martial Art schools in China and has taught within the Chan Wu Wushu School in Guangzhou and the Shaolin Temple in Fu Jian. His continual pursual and establishment of Chinese Tradition in Brisbane has allowed him to become a Guangdong Overseas Ambassador.
The International Wushu Academy has now become a multi-functional Chinese Cultural Center for Tai Chi, Qigong, Acupuncture and Sports Trauma, and Chinese Medicine. Master You Nan Chen is committed to spreading Chinese culture and hopes that his legacy will continue past his years.
